I would like to ask for some prayers for two of my design team girls please? They are unable to participate this week for this challenge as Michelle's father had surgery and is in the hospital recovering and Amanda took a nasty fall and is also recovering. If you all could keep these girls in your prayers, that would be greatly appreciated.

Okay so I had the pleasure of working with Bugaboo Stamps this challenge  and I decided to color up this adorable image,
  Bunny Love 1 .
Bunny Love 1
So I decided to create a cute little Easter basket that I will fill with candies and Easter eggs, to give to my daughter this Easter.

The Bunny
Okay so for this adorable bunny, I colored him in using my Spectrum Aqua Watercolor Markers. This was the first time that I had really used these markers and I really love how beautiful these colors blend. The colors are gorgeous and vibrant too. So I colored the bunny using Charcoal, Slate, black and Begonia. For the heart, I used the colors Begonia, Purple, Spice and Wildflower. When I was completely finished with the image, I took my black sakura glaze pen and completely outlined the entire image to make it really stand out.

The Basket
For the basket, I took a piece of 140lb watercolor paper by Canson, cut it to size and scored it, and then chose the colors; Purple, Aquamarine, Spice, Begonia, Peacock Blue and Rose Pink to start coloring it up. I colored the entire piece of paper using the Spice first. To that, I added a tiny bit of Rose Pink. Then I set that aside to dry. While that was drying, I cut some half inch strips of purple cardstock from Recollections that I had leftover in my scraps and then started to fold them accordion style.  This is what I used for the "grass" for the basket. Once I was done with that, I went back to finish the basket base. I used the Peacock blue, aquamarine, Begonia and purple watercolors and started to add them around the sides of the basket piece. Once that all dried again, I took my Sakura black glaze gel pen and did some doodling. I really LOVE how this made the basket really pop! I used my ruler and added some lines at the change of each color. Then I decided to make diagonal stripes on every other color and little wonky scallops on the rest. The four corners of the basket have polka dots. I then added my adhesive and put the basket together, filled it with the handmade grass that I made and attached the handle using the tiny attacher from Tim Holtz. So to finish off my Easter basket, I added my cute bunny to the front and added a few plastic easter eggs inside for now. I really love this and I hope my daughter will too once it's filled with her favorite candies!
Here are a few more photos.

Hope you like!

Magnolia by Little Blue Button Stamps & March's New Release!

Little Blue Button Stamps

Hello sweet friends!
Happy Weekend!!! And welcome to Fun Friday! :)
So I'm super excited to share with you, this beautiful  new digital stamp called Magnolia!  This digi is just one among  the New Release for the month of March.
Magnolia

So my first thoughts when I saw this gorgeous image were that these would look beautiful if they were watercolored in soft colors on a soft background. So that is the approach that I took for my card for you today.

So I have to say that I really LOVE how this card turned out. It actually turned out the exact way that I had envisioned it. So my card size is a 5 by 5 and the base is some white Bazzill cardstock. The black striped panel is from Lawn Fawn's Let's Polka in the Dark paper pad. Do you see the small thin strip of black paper with the tiny white hearts down the side and along the bottom of my image layer? That is also from the same paper pad. :)

Okay now for my image. I printed the image out onto some AMAZING new paper to me, called Yupo White.  This paper is very smooth and has a very smooth feel to the touch. Well I had never used this before but let me tell you, I LOVE it! This will now be my go to paper for all my mixed media and watercoloring. Ok so before I go on about the image, I must confess that I was able to get a few new things recently and it felt great to shop! :)   So the Yupo paper was one of the items that I purchased along with my new Silver black velvet brushes .  I used these brushes to watercolor my image in using my new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons . What fun they are!!!!!  I will probably write more about them in a later post but getting back to my card.... so my image was watercolored  using the new distress crayons. Holy cow they have to be the best product on the market! They blend like butter! So beautifully! So I used just a very little water and allowed the colors to blend using just that small amount of water. I used Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, and Seedless preserves for the flowers. For the inside of the flowers, I used Fossilized amber and Spiced marmalade and for the stems/leaves, I used Twisted citron and Peeled paint. It is extremely hard to see in the photos but the flowers are more of a purple on the bottoms and blending up into the blues.  For some reason the flowers look all blue but I can promise you, they are not. They are gorgeous in real life. I stamped the word "Love" in momento tuxedo black ink in the lower right hand corner. The sentiment is from a Kaisercraft stamp set.

I used the distress crayon in mustard seed and made a very light wash for the background of the flowers. I wanted a very soft yellow in the background and this worked perfectly. To finish off the card, I added some gold pearl beads that I have in my stash to the centers of the flowers. I also took a little bit of the chipped sapphire to create a few splatters onto the background and image and then I added 2 buttercup sequins in the corner to frame the letter "E" of the sentiment.

Well my friends, I hope you enjoyed my card today. Make sure to stop by on the Little Blue Button Stamps Blog today to see more projects created by my design team sisters, showing more from the New Release . If you would like to purchase any of the new digital stamps from March's new release or to take a look at many other gorgeous images from LBBS, you can stop by the LBBS Store . Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you all have a great weekend!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Until next time, Enjoy life's blessings~

DT Call- There is still time left :)

Hello friends!

I am reposting the original post below for our 2016 Design Team Call. There is still plenty of time to apply! I would love it if you would create and apply! Please do not think that your work is not good enough or that you are not skilled enough, all are welcome and all are good enough!  So please read over this post for all the information  and I look forward to seeing your creations! The deadline to apply is March 14th by 11:59pm EST.

Well the time has come once again! I am looking to add at least  4-6 new designers to add to the awesome team of ladies that I am proud to work with every week. Most of the ladies on my team have been with me for 2 years and we have formed a little family. There is nothing as precious as the sisterhood we form in this industry.

Have you been wanting to be on a design team but never try out because you think that your work is not "good" enough? I know that many of you are sitting there answering this question with a "yes, thats me"! I am looking for designers who are not afraid to take a leap and will just dive right on in, feet first! No need to be worried or judgmental on your work. Let me be the judge of that! If you want to be on my design team, take the leap and let me see what you have! Now keep in mind, I am simple and very laid back. I welcome ALL levels of crafters to try out and I want you to know that ALL levels of crafters have the same advantage of being chosen. I am not going to single out "friends" or people that are "popular" for my design team. I play fair and I will tell you what I am looking for, but before I do, here is what You need to have within yourself before I even look at your work.

  1. You must have a huge passion for crafting! :)
  2. You have to be outgoing, down to earth, sociable, creative, enthusiastic and human! :)
  3.  You have to eat, sleep, and breathe crafting! :)
  4. You Must be Happy and laugh a lot! :)

If you have all four of those things... then here is what I want you to do. TRY OUT!!
Your Responsibilities as a DT member if you are chosen to be on the team:

1. You will need to have an active blog

2. You will need to create 1-3 projects per month. During special occasions and blog hops, you may be required to do an extra project or two for that month.

3. You will need to advertise on social media for all upcoming challenges, blog hops and guest design spotlights.
( Social Media platform preferred is Facebook)

4. You will be required to join our private DT Yahoo Group. If you do not have a Yahoo ID, you will be required to create one.
5. The term will be for 6 months and will run from March 25, 2016 to September 23, 2016. At the end of the 6 month term, you will have the opportunity to stay on should you choose to. If you do plan to leave after your six months, I need a heads up at least one month prior to your term's end. Those designers who stay on the team will have the opportunity to design for my company when I relaunch it back up. Hoping to relaunch the company sometime this year.

What you will receive in return:
1. You will receive an array of digital stamps and cut files from over ten different companies in the industry.

2. You will receive more exposure on your blog, preferably leading into more followers and friends

3. You will receive an organized Yahoo Group to find all challenge information, links, sponsor information & friendly chat with your DT sisters.
